Spring has sprung, the weather is warming up, and so are we with the latest updates to the website. After many evenings discussing the pros and cons of bandfinder to venues, bands, promoters we realised that to really help the “live” music scene, especially in light of the new draconian laws in Melbourne we had to work on removing the primary usage obstacle – time.
Time = money in far too many peoples’ dictionaries, and time = ????, in far too many others’ dictionaries.
Okay, so we addressed this from two processes:
Process One – for those who feel that there is not enough time in the world for them at the moment.
• how to streamline the website and its services – without losing relevant information (for all those who already have websites, and do not really wish to re-enter information).
• how to get someone else to do it for me (sorry but there is a current ban on slavery, not that you would know it if you are trying to make a living from gigs.)
• how do I get the most out of this for the minimal amount of input (fair enough, you want to concentrate on your core business)
Process Two – for those who are willing to spend some time developing themselves and their product, utilise all available marketing tools at their disposal, and actively promote themselves.
• how do I best gain exposure from bandfinder?
• how best to use bandfinder to promote my music?
• what more information do I want bandfinder to show about my music.
Obviously we are dedicated to helping those who help themselves, so we are gearing the site towards those who are actively self promoting themselves and their music.
Have a look at it, and let us know what you think what you think about these improvements and what you would like so that it can help you and your music.
